Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

TaskMind is a personal task and life-management app built for one person's own use — not a team or social product. There is no sharing, no visibility between accounts, and no advertising. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's protected.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Account info — your name and email address, from either the sign-up form or your Google profile if you use "Continue with Google."
  • Content you create — tasks, projects, daily logs, habits, goals, fitness entries, finance entries and receipt images, and lists. This is entirely up to you — TaskMind doesn't work without it, since it's the app's whole purpose.

We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or anything outside what you directly enter into the app.

How your data is used

  • To run the app's core features — showing you your own tasks, projects, and logs.
  • Optionally, to power AI features (parsing your Daily Log into completed/planned items, summarizing receipts, drafting Impact statements). These requests go to Anthropic's API, sending only the specific text or receipt image you submit for that action — never your full account data. Every AI feature has a manual-entry fallback if you'd rather not use it.
  • To send you account-related email — sign-up confirmation and password reset links. We don't send marketing email.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run TaskMind. None of them can see your data outside of processing it on our behalf:

  • Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Anthropic — processes AI-feature requests, as described above.
  • Resend — delivers our transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset).
  • Google — if you choose "Continue with Google," Google handles that sign-in; we only receive your name and email from it.

We never sell your data, and we don't use any advertising or analytics trackers.

How your data is protected

Every account's data is isolated at the database level — a security rule (Row Level Security) enforces that your data is only ever readable by you, on every single table, with no exceptions for other users. This isn't just a rule in the app's code — it's enforced by the database itself.

An administrative view exists for keeping the service running (spotting abuse, basic usage counts), but it only ever shows aggregate numbers — task counts, dates — never the actual content of your tasks, notes, or logs.

Your choices

  • You can stop using AI features at any time — every one has a manual alternative.
  • You can request your account and all associated data be permanently deleted at any time by contacting us below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Cookies & local storage

TaskMind uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to cache the app for offline use as an installable app (PWA). We don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

Children's privacy

TaskMind isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
